Chinook Book Manufacturing Statement

Paper
The cover and text is printed on Finch Casa Opaque, 30% post-consumer recycled content. The virgin pulp is elemental chlorine-free, and the post-consumer recycled fiber is process chlorine-free. The paper is FSC-certified. Finch paper is made at a family-owned mill in Glen Falls, New York. They have done amazing things to green their operations while keeping manufacturing jobs in their small community. To learn more go to finchpaper.com. For the past several years we purchased the bulk of our paper from Grays Harbor Paper in Grays Harbor, Washington. Unfortunately in May 2011 the Grays Harbor mill shut down and laid off all of their employees. We were extremely saddened to lose this valuable supplier.

Ink
We use the highest soy content possible for our web printing process. Here are the soy contents of four ink colors: Black: 14%; Cyan: 8.5%; Magenta: 10%; Yellow: 6.5%
